Board Meeting Minutes
Sunday, April 5, 2009
Swinging Bridge Studio
Attending: Marian Olive, Rhonda Hampton, Lars Skaar, Veronica Skaar, Walt Hermanson, Cathy Hermanson, LeRoy Kester, and Mary Ness.
March Secretary report was distributed and posted on the website.
Financial report offered by LeRoy was approved.
Old Business
Cathy will coordinate a few workers to do some reorganization to the back room storage.
Rhonda reported that the new lighting worked very well for the Tasty Tidbit Theatre event. She states they will probably learn more about the operations as the equipment is used. Electrical connection cords were left in the ceiling of Swinging Bridge Studio to eliminate future re-work. In general, Rhonda reported that this production was a great experience and full-house for each performance.
New Business
Dee Fihr will donate paint to Judge Story and will bring it to the Swinging Bridge Studio.
Veronica offered “Seussical” update.

- Budget is developed but not finished
- Needs to evaluate “spot” lights in theater to be sure we have replacements on hand if necessary
- Still looking to fill percussion in orchestra
- Patron letters need to be developed and mailed for program development. Marian will coordinate a letter and request. Lars to assist in the mailing.
- Lars is in charge of program design/printing
Scholarship applications have been distributed to Roland Story, South Hamilton and Gilbert. The application deadline is April 20.
Web site changes are in effect and we will monitor for issues.

PRODUCTION DATES are March 27-29, 2009 at the Swinging Bridge Studio. (If necessary, we could add another peformance on Thursday night the 26).
SYNOPSIS – “Laffing Room Only” by Tim Kelly
Gloria Alexander is about to lose dilapidated Whispering Pines for back taxes. She’d gladly sell the place but there are no takers. Enter two state officials with plans to make the hotel a base for a sting operation. They give out the word that the hotel will accept stolen goods, hoping to catch a number of petty criminals operating in the area. Soon the lobby is populated by a parade of cheerful weidos like ultra-cool Rondo Muldoon, Irma the bag lady, jewel thieves, a bewildered society leader and frantic young lovers. They’re all fairly normal compared to the clever handyman, Putney, who dreams of being a recluse. One hilarious complication collides with another up to the climax when each visitor turns out to have an unsuspected, rib-tickling reason for being at the hotel.
